Items raised at Club Meeting 18th Sept

This was the first Wednesday meeting I have attended andf it was great to see such a good turn out of members. Welcome to Ray who has a lovely “S” and it was great to see Jim Edwards and Mark who came over from the Lanc’s region.

I stated that as other members were now offering to organise more things I would stand as the R.O. for another year, James Taylor also offered to be the Deputy R.O. We were duly proposed and seconded and I will procees the forms to day.

Julie Taylor is organising the Xmas Lunch at the Ship Hotel in Elswick and the date proposed is Sunday 15th of December. Julie will be posting details soon on the website.

It is the Manchester Classic car show at event city Trafford Park on the 22nd of September. You can get discounted tickets through Russ Larcomb’s website www.ukwheelsevents.com

There is a Run What You Brung meeting at the Kirkbride Airfield on the 27/28th Sept. I think it is £30 to run your car as many times as you like. Contact Brian Crewes on briancrewes@btinternet.com for more details.

The NEC Classic car show takes place on the 15/17th November and the club will release a special number for discounted tickets nearer the day. So far John Mleczek and my self are going. If anyone else wants a lift down with me please contact me.

Some of the events being proposed and organised by members are:-

Afternoon Tea at Morcambe in Feb / March to be organised by Russ Larcombe

A run out between Christmas and New Year to be organised by Bill Campion.

Also in May there is a long weekend tour of Scotland for a price of £80, Russ will provide more details of this.

Thanks everyone for offering to organise different things for the club

Dave
