I have been planning a weekend away in Spring next year in North Wales. The date has not been fixed but it would be a nice way to start the “season”.

Travel on Friday afternoon to the Royal Sportsman Hotel in Porthmadog (132miles) Dinner in hotel and chat and relax in the hotel Bar.

Saturday~ vitsit Portmerrion, 3 miles away, where if you are old enough you will remember the “Prisoner” was filmed. Then up to Ffestiniog Railway for a look around and ride? Also if you are not into trains there is a famous Slate mine and herritage centre within 3 miles. the whole dy involves less than 30 miles driving. Stay over night again in the Royal Sportsman.

Sunday~ A 1 hr drive over to the race track at Anglesey where we can either watch an event or do a half day track day depending on the date we go. In the afternoon drive back to Preston (132 miles)
