Longton Motor Club held their awards dinner last Saturday at the Barton Grange Hotel. Jim Walsh won an award for being second in the Longton Club Sprint series. The winner was running a single seat race car and in third place was Andy Bradley in a Ford Focus.

The speaker was Stuart Turner who as some may remember was the head of competitions department of British Leyland in the 1970’s in the big Healey and Mini Cooper days and then went to run the Ford Rally team in the late 70’s / early 80’s. He was brilliant and very funny.
